Glutamine metabolism pathway

The two main glutamine metabolic enzymes in cells are glutaminolytic enzyme and glutamine synthetase. The former decomposes glutamine into glutamate and ammonia, and the latter synthesizes glutamine and ammonia into glutamine. Aminoamide, different tissues of the human body have different reaction directions. For example, in muscles, liver, brain, lungs and fat cells, the synthesis reaction of glutamine is obviously dominant; in intestinal cells and immune cells (lymphocytes and macrophages), glutamine is used in large quantities to provide Cellular energy and supply for intracellular DNA and RNA synthesis.
